If it was possible, I would plant a book like wheat on every inch of land.

Welcome to another issue of Passionate Income.

Today we’ll be discussing six business books that could change your life.

As someone who used to read 52 books per year, these are in our opinion timeless classics every entrepreneur - no matter what type of business you're trying to build - should read.

Further, we'll list the biggest takeaways from each so you can purchase the ones that apply to whatever challenges you're facing right now.

Let’s dive in.

This issue is sponsored by us - Passionate Income!

Want to build a business that doesn’t involve cold outreach, slaving away for clients, or having to import products from China?

With a Faceless Instagram Page, you answer to no one. No clients. No customers. No calls or complaints.

Just create content, sell shout-outs, and bank checks.

I should know: I built a 1M+ follower page that generates $1,000+ per day!

Want to see how I did it?

#1 - The Slight Edge (Jeff Olson)

This is by far one of my all-time favorites.

The Slight Edge explains how our current life situation is the result of the decisions we've made in the past. Especially the last 6-12 months.

In particular, it discusses how - similar to compound interest - our decisions "compound" to create our reality. As an example, skip the gym once and nothing happens. Skip the gym everyday and you'll gain weight / lose muscle / fall out of shape.

And the same can be said for most every area of our lives, from business to romance. The good news?

Because compounding is a long-term process, there's no need to rush to get results. Instead, you're better off doing a small amount of the right things every day so you can get compounding working in your favor.

For better or worse, I wasn't ready for this the first time I read it.

Then I forgot about, worked on tons of failed businesses for nine years, and picked it up again. At which point I realized what I had been doing wrong all those years (doh!)

While you'll definitely want to read this one yourself, the short version is that there are three Money Paths:

The Sidewalk (living paycheck to paycheck)The Slowlane (traditional saving and investing)The Fastlane (building businesses that generate wealth rapidly)

As you can imagine, the Fastlane is the fastest path to wealth.

And once you get past the first few chapters, the rest of the book is dedicated to strategies, tips and tactics for building a sellable business the right way.

#3 - The Micro-Script Rules (2nd Edition)

This is an underground copywriting book most marketers (let alone people) have never heard of.

Despite its lack of financial success, it's by far one of the most potent marketing books out there. Mainly because it shows the power of condensing your marketing message into unforgettable bite-sized chunks.

As an example, OJ Simpson's attorney basically won his legal trial based on the eight-word phrase: "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit."

Other marketing examples abound, from ClickFunnels (You're Only One Funnel Away) to Eben Pagan's info product empire (Double Your Dating).

Long story short: Unforgettable bite-size jingles can take on a life of their own, propelling the product/service being marketed to unforgettable heights.

4 - Finish - Give Yourself the Gift of Done

This is another underrated but highly powerful book.

In the world of business, it's easy to get excited about starting something new. Mainly because launching something is the easy part, where the business is 100% theory (and hopes and dreams) and 0% reality.

Then you start building the business, at which point reality (and a variety of crushing emotions) set in. At which point most people give up.

But as you likely know, winning requires you to keep going. It requires you to get the job done. So if you struggle with giving up and starting over (something I myself have dealt with), you should probably make this your Bible.

Written almost 25 years ago, this is another underground gold mine.

If you've ever read Blue Ocean, you can think of this as the prequel.

Mainly because Positioning explains why choosing a market category - and being the first business to "claim" that category - is a Do or Die decision.

More important, it provides evidence to back up this assertion, showing how a variety of market leaders were also the first companies to enter/create whatever category they ended up dominating.

While the concepts are a little more esoteric (given they require deep thinking and are subjective in their analysis), internalizing this stuff can prevent you from wasting years of time and tons of money.

If you're marketing a small business, this is a must.

In fact, after 15 months of failure, this was the book that led me to building my first ever profitable business online.

Inside, author Dan Kennedy breaks down how to use timeless direct-response principles to craft a promotion. In particular, ethical strategies that apply to all forms of small business marketing (not just sales letters).

If you're on a budget and absolutely must get results, do not skip this one.

Stay up-to-date with AI.

AI won’t replace you, but a person using AI might. That’s why 500,000+ professionals read The Rundown– the free newsletter that keeps you updated on the latest AI news, tools, and tutorials in 5 minutes a day.

💡 Takeaway: Books allow you to tap into someone else's decades of experience for $10 or $20. But that knowledge, no matter how many notes you take, is useless unless you absorb it and put it into action.

I'll leave you with this quote…

"Show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world.”
