Welcome to another issue of Passionate Income.
Today we’ll be discussing four holiday-focused business ideas that can generate cash flow extremely quickly. While you can’t exactly build one of these long-term, these four ideas can bring in thousands of dollars fairly quickly (if you’ve got the skills and are willing to hustle).
Let’s dive in.
What do Thomas Jefferson, LeBron James, and the British royal family have in common? They all invest in wine and whiskey.
And with good reason. According to Knight Frank, wine and whiskey have been two of the best-performing alternative assets of the last decade.
There’s just one catch. For hundreds of years, you needed serious cash and connections just for a seat at the table. Plus you had to build fancy cellars and attend exclusive auctions while sporting an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and whiskey. Not happening - right?
Vinovest is changing that. With its easy-to-use platform, you can build a world-class portfolio of wine and whiskey in no time. Our portfolio managers work with you to find the right assets for your unique goals and horizons.
Here’s how Vinovest makes that possible:
- Analysis of 1+ billion data points to find advantageous opportunities
- World-class storage across Europe, Asia, and North America
- Guaranteed authentication and comprehensive insurance
Wine and whiskey are your answer to high yield, low risk investing and there’s nothing (not even LeBron) can do to stop you. Get started with 3 months free with this exclusive link.
#1 - Gift Wrapping for Busy Husbands 🎁
I don’t know about you, but when I wrap a gift, it looks like a five year old did it. Paper sticking out at weird angles. Tape everywhere. It’s a disaster. And for better or worse, the same can be said for most men.
What you might not know is that many men feel both embarrassed and ashamed by this. Especially when it comes to gifts for their wives (and especially when the gift cost a pretty penny). So how would this work?
First, you have to actually be good at wrapping presents. From there, you can advertise your service through Craigslist, the Facebook Marketplace and community bulletin boards (which they might even have in your building).
The good news is startup costs are low, with it being unlikely you spend more than $50 or $100 for high-end wrapping papers, ribbons and tape.
#2 - Christmas Tree Hauler 🎄
Thinking back to my childhood, I have fond memories of picking out a Christmas tree with my family. Comparing the different smells, sizes, shapes, etc. The older I got, however, the more I realized doing so is a ton of work.
First you have to drive the tree home. If you put it inside your car, as opposed to ton top, you now have pine needles everywhere. Then you have to vacuum the car, take the tree inside and figure out that godforsaken stand thing.
For someone who’s busy, injured, elderly or just a scrooge, this is a lot of work. Which is why, if you price your service right, many people will happily pay you to take this burden off their shoulders. After all, despite the hard work, who doesn’t love a house that smells like pine for the holidays?
#3 - Christmas Light Hanger 🏠
Ok, this one could result in you falling and break your neck. So don’t blame us if this goes wrong. But all jokes aside, there’s serious money to be made in hanging Christmas lights. In fact, a buddy of mine who has a fairly big house was just quoted a whopping $2,500 to get his lights hung.
Admittedly, this is a risky job.
So you will 100% want to have health insurance, and should probably setup an LLC and get General Liability insurance. But with literally thousands of dollar to be made, and no website or even qualifications needed to get started, hanging lights could put some serious cash in your pocket.
4 - Last Minute Shopper 🏃
Are you the type of person who waits until 5:00pm on Christmas Eve to finish my shopping? Me too. Admittedly, I get the big stuff out of the way early. But every once in a while, I find my scrambling at the last minute. And guess what?
So do millions of other people.
Especially when time runs out on Amazon Prime, meaning you absolutely have to buy something in person (at a crowded strip mall full of procrastinators doing the same exact thing you are). The good news?

There are a lot of people who will pay you to do their shopping for them. So how would this work?
First, your “client” tells you what they want and where they think you can find it. Second, you hunt it down and deliver it to their location of choice.
Sure, doing this means you’ll probably spend the 23rd and Christmas Eve working. But if you’re in a jam and have nothing better to do, being someone’s last minute shopper is a great idea.
🏈 ⚾️ 🏀How do you become a smarter sports fan?
Easy, by subscribing to the Morning Blitz. It’s a newsletter curating all essential sports news from the day prior using a unique blend of wittiness and informational writing to start your day off with a (*insert Mike Breen voice*) "BANG!!!". In simpler terms, think SportsCenter in an email read by the likes of Mark Cuban, Dana White, Justin Thomas, and more! You’re welcome for the rec – subscribe here!
💡 Takeaway: For many people December is the most expensive month of the year. At the same time, it’s also one of the most stressful times of the year. Given businesses are built on the back of solving problems for people, helping people relieve that holiday stress can put a pretty penny in your pocket.
I'll leave you with this quote…
"The best things in life are free.”
