Good at social media but don’t know how to earn a living from it?

Then today’s issue should be right up your alley!

As you likely know, if you came here from our IG, the Passionate Income brand first started as a faceless Instagram page.

Since then, we’ve expanded into everything from information products and coaching to this very newsletter.

But at our core, our true expertise lies in building and scaling faceless Instagram pages.

I mention this because when it comes to faceless pages. the #1 thing most people worry about how to get followers. But in reality, the much more important question is how you'll generate revenue from your page once you build up those followers.

Unlike YouTube and TikTok, Instagram does not offer an advertising revenue share program. Because of that, it doesn’t matter if your pages generates millions of followers and billions of views.

Until you have some kind of monetization method in place, those followers and views are meaningless.

Fortunately, I’ve been doing this for years and have coached students around the globe on how to monetize their pages.

Here are the top five ways I use on my own pages and recommend that my students implement.

This is by far the easiest way to generate revenue from your page.

Just find a company whose product or service is relevant to your audience, and let them pay you a fixed amount per week or per month to have your bio link point to their website or landing page.

The good thing about this method is that the client can set up Google Analytics to see how many clicks and even sales they generate from that placement.

The downside is that this method is untargeted and does not allow for any nurturing, education, or relationship building.

Because of that, renting out sponsored links is the lowest-profit method of monetizing your page.

2 - Sponsored Posts

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, odds are you’ve seen an influencer or faceless page publish a sponsored post on their timeline or Reels feed.

Unlike sponsored links, sponsored posts—which include both traditional posts and Reels—allow for more specific targeting through the use of imagery and copywriting.

Because of that, brands will pay much more for sponsored posts than they will for sponsored links.

In fact, when I’m working with students, I encourage them to sell sponsored posts in bundles instead of selling them on a one-off basis.

That way, the client gets repeated exposure to your audience, which, in turn, can result in your audience being more likely to purchase something from the client.

This is the ideal situation, given most brands are more interested in generating revenue than in simply getting brand impressions.

3 - Affiliate Marketing

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, affiliate marketing involves promoting other people’s products and services in exchange for a commission.

Online, this means pointing people from your page to another company’s offer.

In terms of how they know the sale came from you, there are multiple ways to approach this. From dedicated pages that only you know about to affiliate tracking IDs, in most cases, you can set yourself up as an affiliate for somebody else’s offer in a matter of minutes.

People dedicate their entire careers to affiliate marketing, so we’re not going to attempt a deep dive here. If this is a topic that you’re interested in, there are plenty of resources on YouTube that you can dive into.

4 - B2B Lead Gen

One of the less common methods you don’t hear people talk about too often is generating leads for other businesses.

Admittedly, this option will only be available if you build an audience of people who are open to spending money on business services. Examples include everyone from startup creators to Fortune 500 CEOs.

Either way, if your audience is interested in stuff like SaaS, tax optimization, etc., one of the best and most lucrative ways to monetize your page is to send leads to other existing businesses.

5 - Your Own Offer

If you’re building a faceless page, you probably don’t have your own product or service. When I first started Passionate Income, I didn’t have my own product or service either.

As time goes by, however, and depending on your niche, you may decide to create some kind of paid offer.

Whether that’s a digital product, physical product, or some kind of service is up to you.

What matters is understanding the bigger picture, and in particular, how your faceless page fits into the traffic generation side of operating a business.

💡 Takeaway: While most people worry about how to attract followers, the most important part of building a faceless page business is the revenue generation side. Fortunately, there are a variety of methods for monetizing your page, from selling sponsored links to generating leads for other companies.
