Welcome to another issue of Passionate Income.

Today we’ll be discussing the most important skills you need to succeed in 2024 and beyond.

In particular, the ones most likely to get you paid - and least likely to be replaced by AI - as we head into the Artificial Intelligence Golden Age.

Let’s dive in.

Want to earn a little extra on the side?

Earlier today we held a live training where we unveil how to build a 4-figure monthly side hustle - that you can sell to an investor - in just 1-2 hours per day.

This low competition business has huge upside and is something you already know how to do.

As a wise man once said: "Skills pay the bills."

Sure, the ones most relevant to you will depend heavily on which career path you plan on taking / what type of business you're building.

But generally speaking, when we look to the future, the skills outlined below will be in high-demand until at least the end of this decade.

Here they are:

#1 - Python Programming

From ChatGPT to Midjourney, all of today's top AI apps are built on Python.

Further, most any Low Code or No Code software uses Python to interact with these apps. Meaning, if you plan to do anything serious with AI beyond basic Prompt Engineering, you need to understand how to code Python.

The caveat is that understanding the coding aspect alone isn't enough. Instead, you'll still need to understand topics like Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Computer Vision and more.

As you can imagine, these skills takes months to learn and years to master.

But with the AI boom just getting started, this is one skill that can pay dividends for decades to come.

#2 - Machine Learning

Understanding how to code in Python is great and all, but to work with AI you have to understand what's going on under the hood.

While many people believe AIs are literally “intelligent,” in reality, most of them are just really good at recognizing patterns. Which allows them to reproduce content (text, images, videos, audio, etc.) that match the patterns they've been trained on.

A process that boils down to what's called Machine Learning.

According to ChatGPT, ML involves "enabling computers to learn from data and make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed for every task."

In short, similar to how there’s such thing as a computer without the underlying software, there’s no such thing as AI without ML.

More important, you can get started learning with the highly respected (and 100% free) ones offered by DeepLearning.ai.*

#3 - Video Editing

In hindsight, it's dead obvious video editing would become a master skill.

As you may or may not know, the top 10 highest traffic websites control the flow of approximately 95% of English web traffic.

And you know what the #1 type of content on those sites is?

You got it: Video.

Doesn't matter if you work with experts or influencers, Faceless Page owners or full-on brands (including Fortune 500 companies), most anyone / any business doing content needs a video editor.

And while AI-powered video editing apps are cool and all, they're nowhere near replacing editors.

So, while writers and graphic designers are already being replaced by AI, video editors are safe for at least the next 5-10 years.

#4 - Persuasion

On "most important skills lists" like these, you'll often see people put things like copywriting, public speaking or sales. But at the end of the day, the underlying skill that drives all three of these is persuasion.

See, business is done between humans. And as you likely know, human nature - despite all our technological advances - hasn't changed much since the caveman days.

For better or worse, we're still driven by greed, lust, the desire to help others and a host of other emotionally-driven behaviors.

Meaning, if you understand how persuasion works in general, you'll be able to sell yourself (as a job candidate, not a prostitute LOL), your product or your service regardless of the medium.

Doesn't matter if you're selling high ticket services on a Zoom call, or trying to convince your bratty tweenager to take out the trash, persuasion is a master skill that transcends the bounds of time and space.*

*Until the AIs take over and start doing business with each other. At which point we're likely screwed one way or another!

💡 Takeaway: In the 2010s, media buying, copywriting and funnel building were the most profitable skills you could learn. But as we go deeper into the 2020s, AI, video editing and persuasion are where the money is.
