Welcome to another issue of Passionate Income.

Today we’ll be discussing why we believe Faceless Instagram Pages are an amazing opportunity in 2024.

Given Passionate Income existed as a faceless IG page before we started this here newsletter, this is the business model I have the most experience with. It’s also the one that’s put the most money in my pocket.

And if you do it right, it can put some dough in your pockets.

Let’s dive in.

One of the big issues with choosing a business model these days is competition.

As we discussed in a previous issue, while service-based businesses (freelancing, agency work, etc.) are the fastest way to earn $3k - $5k per month, they’ve become extremely competitive.

To the point there are now more direct response copywriters than there are companies doing Direct Response marketing!

And that’s just one example.

The Things You Need

While there are plenty of companies in need of graphic design, coding services, etc., the landscape today is exponentially more competitive than it was 10 short years ago.

On the flip side, some business models have remained relatively under the radar. Not in the sense they’re secret, but more because - relative to something like freelancing - very few people have taken action on them.

Case in point: Faceless Instagram channels (and YouTube channels, which we will not be covering today).

Now you might be saying to yourself: “No way, there are TONS of faceless IG pages out there.”

And you’re not wrong. But consider the following:

In the US, there are 33 million small businesses, 1% of which generate more than $1M per year (330,000). On the flip side, there are 73 MILLION freelancers in the US.

Meaning, for every freelancer who nails a company making $1M per year or more, another 220 freelancers are stuck fighting over smaller companies.

And the less money the company is making, the less money a freelancer will be able to charge them.

(No wonder most freelancers are poor!)

On the flip side, IG has 2 billion monthly users. 500 million of which use the platform every day (with the average user spending 29 minutes/day on the app).

Meaning, even if every single person in the US - including babies and senior citizens - created five minutes of Instagram content per day, it would only account for 11.7% of the daily demand for content!

And the crazy part?

While the above example is based on the 339 million people currently living in the US, the number of people who’ve created faceless IG pages probably numbers in the thousands (LOL).

Not to mention, of the thousands of people who try, most are operating in totally different niches while creating half-assed, low-quality content.

Meaning, the demand for content on Instagram outpaces the number of faceless pages by a factor of tens of thousands.

Sure, you’ll still be competing against influencers/creators, traditional companies, and gurus with Personal Brands. But when it comes to niche topics, most people are starved of entertaining, high-quality content.

And because of that, they end up doom scrolling mindless junk instead.

So let me ask you, which makes more sense:

Providing a service, where you’re fighting against tens of millions of Americans for the same 330,000 companies generating $1M or more per year?

Or starting a faceless IG page, where demand for high-quality niche content far outpaces the supply?

Is this business model “easy”?

No.

But in 2024, nothing is “easy” anymore.

As Capitalism.com founder Ryan Moran said on a recent podcast episode:

“There is no more arbitrage. All the easy plays are gone. To win today, you have to be good.”

Ryan Moran

So if you’re looking for easy, good luck.

In 2024, everybody knows about everything. Amazon KDP. Drop shipping. Etsy stores. eCommerce. Freelancing. Coaching. Agency model.

Nothing is secret these days.

iphone, ios, home screen, close up, pixels, retina, smartphone, icon, instagram

And thanks to social media, when something new does pop up, it becomes saturated faster than ever (e.g. TikTok Shop).

With that said, some business models are easier than others. In particular, ones where you can get the economics of Supply and Demand working in your favor.

So if you’ve been struggling to get something off the ground, maybe it’s time you explore a faceless IG page?

💡 Takeaway: When it comes to business, the economic influence of Supply and Demand is unavoidable.

Sadly, most people chase business models where Supply far outpaces Demand (e.g. freelancing / agency work) while ignoring opportunities (like faceless social media pages) where Supply vs Demand works in their favor.

I'll leave you with this quote…

"The Internet doesn't change everything. It doesn't change supply and demand."

Andy Grove
