Welcome to another issue of Passionate Income.

Today we’ll be discussing why after years of focus on high ticket funnels, low ticket has exploded in popularity recently.

We'll also discuss what the specific trend is, including some simple ways your business might be able to cash in.

Let’s dive in.

I recently filmed this exclusive free training on the Smartest path to $10k a month in 2025 (using Instagram)

I released this training because we kept getting replies from our readers about an actual business model that will work long-term and isn't overhyped.

Nothing held back, this is the framework I and 100+ of my clients used.

Want to build a business that doesn’t require you to offer a service like freelancing or coaching?

Or maybe you want more leads for your coaching or agency business, but are struggling with the traditional channels.

If that’s you, listen up.

As someone who’s been hovering around the Internet, marketing industry for a decade now, one trend that I’ve noticed is How business trends tend to flip-flop between two polar opposite marketing approaches.

Some years, organic marketing is really really hot.

And because of that, everybody jumps on it to the point it becomes saturated. At which point it becomes less and less effective to the point marketer start to look for an alternative.

So what’s the polar opposite of organic marketing?

Paid advertising.

Which is precisely why the guru types start pushing paid advertising programs when people get frustrated with organic marketing:

By the time people get frustrated with organic, enough time has passed the general public forgets these same exact gurus were pushing paid advertising just 3 to 4 years ago.

So what does this have to do with you?

Well, over the last six months there has been explosion in demand for all things low ticket.

If you’re unfamiliar with the terminology, low ticket refers to low cost products and services. The overwhelming majority of which contain online courses and templates.

See, it’s not just a back back and forth rotation between organic marketing and advertising every couple years.

Because in addition to that rotation, there’s also a flip-flop between marketers pushing high ticket funnels versus low ticket funnels.

From 2014 until 2018, high ticket funnels were all the rage.

However, when they stopped working in 2018, there was an explosion in demand for information on how to sell low ticket.

A couple years later, when the market became saturated with courses, templates and workshops, the market rotated back to running high funnels.

Except unlike from 2014 to 2018, this time they discovered the effectiveness of setters. Which made it once again economically viable to generate high ticket leaves via advertising.

Now, this isn’t to say that setters stopped working. In fact, incorporating a setter into your high ticket funnel is still incredibly effective.

What caused the rotation this time around was the introduction of ChatGPT.

In 2023, during the peak of ChatGPT mania, many marketers tried selling courses (and prompt packs) on how to earn a living using AI itself. Except for one small problem:

None of that shit worked.

And because of that, the only people who made substantial money from the AI bubble were the people selling courses on how to make money with ChatGPT.

However, after it became apparent nobody’s life was going to change because of these AI programs, marketers discovered what ChatGPT is legitimately good at.

And that’s synthesizing information in a very short period of time.

So, instead of selling courses on how to generate revenue with AI, marketers shifted to selling courses on how to sell courses using AI.*

*Yes, I understand the ridiculousness of this. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s happening.

Fast forward to today and there’s been an explosion in gurus teaching people how to create low ticket programs using software like ChatGPT.

Ignoring the absurdity of this rotation, as a business owner it’s important to pay attention to trends.

And for better or worse, it appears consumers have warmed up to the idea of buying low ticket products again.

Especially as it relates to a) selling information to colder, but less skeptical audiences, like the ones found on Etsy and TikTok, and b) selling information to your existing (and therefore warmer) audience.

So whether you’re looking to build an info product business, or offer a high ticket service but are looking for a new way to generate leads, there’s a high likelihood you should consider low ticket.

💡 Takeaway: After years of focus on high ticket funnels, low ticket has regained it's popularity thanks to ChatGPT mania. From PDFs (sold on TikTok Shop and Etsy) to online courses and workshops, there a variety of ways you can monetize information products. Even better, info product buyers serve as high quality leads for agencies and coaches.
